Some good stuff in there - can't wait to find out what's in the other piles! For some reason - not sure why - the last You Am I CD I bought was hourly, daily. I somehow didn't move with them past that - weird. It took me a little while to get used to the Church one - it really did take a few listens. Have actually been listening to "univited" quite a lot and think it's very solid(whatever that means).

would those you am i cd's belong to a relative on the other side of the world by any chance?
or have you been won over by timmy and the boys and began the process of acquiring their entire back catalogue?

seeing them on the 14th of october in islington. can't. wait.

oh p.s. - on a you am i note. 'hi fi way' is THE greatest album ever. FACT

i was going to add that the 2 you am i cds are burned copies, which were indeed copied from dan's albums, together with other you am i albums (excluding their first as i ran out of blank cds).
i must pull out my copy of high fi way and give it another spin ... it is very good i know ... hard to go past 'purple sneakers', 'cathy's clown' and that track u really like, the name of which i cant recall at present

I welcome this excuse to have a little rave about you am i. I loved jaime's got a gal, wally raffles and moon shines on trubble. And of course others as well :).
My sister says the bernard fanning cd is brilliant and keeps telling me to get it - one day it will happen.

you am i are great!
i was keen to learn how to play thier songs on guitar ... until i found out that they typically use unorthodox guitar tunings ... that in itself is a GOOD thing, i reckon; but i guess i'm too lazy to re-tune & re-tune my guitar - and/or poor at doing so!
