i have been away from 'here' for almost a week, and i have a good reason for this absence ...
i now have a daughter! she was born last saturday night. she came two weeks early, but without too much fuss (relatively speaking). she is lovely (what else would i say?!?) and is a younger sister for my son who is three and a half. my son is happy to now have his mum and sister back home from hospital ... and i hope he doesn't have any significant kind of 'meltdown' triggered by this new addition to the family ... i don't talk about my kids much in this forum but i do love them ... ;-D

Woo hoo!!! Congratulations! That is such lovely news . One of each - well done :). Was she a good weight? ( you know that females like to know this sort of thing)

she was about 3kg - 6lb 7oz in 'the old money' - so a decent weight, but smaller than had been predicted ... which fortunately all helped make for a relatively straightforward passsage to the outside world ;-D

I have a son, but he will never be mentioned in my blog because it's the only place that I can ESCAPE(!!) to and just be myself and not someone's mother - if that makes sense. You end up where there's nothing left just for yourself because they take over everything - which of course is how it should be, but you know what I mean :). Bub was a nice size - not too big and not too small. At least she will look like a "baby" for longer. They grow up way too quickly.Boo hoo :(.
