quite a few of my friends enjoy playing a bit of poker, usually against each other & for money. unlike them, i've never really played poker prior to the past year, and i am still getting my head around the various hands and more importantly, which hands beat other hands. so i usually just go along to poker nights at friends' houses mostly for the social outing, to have a few drinks & catch up with mates, maybe play just a little bit (& usually lose), or deal (the cards, that is).
