this morning on wikipedia i came across the following quote from slash (lead guitarist of velvet revolver & formerly g'n'r, of course) which i think is kind of excellent for a few reasons:
"My big awakening happened when I was fourteen. I'd been trying to get into this older girl's pants for a while, and she finally let me come over to her house. We hung out, smoked some pot and listened to Aerosmith's Rocks. It hit me like a fucking ton of bricks. I sat there listening to it over and over, and totally blew off this girl. I remember riding my bike back to my grandma's house knowing that my life had changed. Now I identified with something."

Hi Fergal!
Really cool blog here, I like it. I slap myself for not having been by before... **slap!**
I'm glad if any of my words were beneficial, and I hope none of them came off as condescending or judgmental, as they are not meant to, just a response to what you put out there sort of. Life is difficult, and we all have our ups and downs. We're all human... just hang in there, and follow your heart and gut instinct! :)
As far as Slayer Goes, I'm torn between Reign in Blood and South of Heaven, but I think I lean towards Reign in Blood... you?
:) he's something isnt he!
Keshi.
Reign in Blood for me if the choice is between those two.
However, I must mention that if we were rating their entire back catalogue - it'd be Seasons in the Abyss first, daylight second.
my 2 cents...
